Project Management:
Airbus A380 Case Study
Description
As part of a project management course at RIT Croatia, I analyzed the Airbus A380 program—one of the most ambitious and complex industrial projects in history. The goal was to study how large-scale projects are managed in the real world, with a focus on coordination, stakeholder communication, and risk mitigation.
My role involved reviewing key decisions made during the development of the aircraft, identifying bottlenecks and failures (such as issues with international collaboration and software integration), and extracting lessons relevant to effective project management.
Through this work, I gained a deeper understanding of what it means to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage large budgets, and balance innovation with operational constraints. The case confirmed how critical strong project governance and communication are—especially when timelines are tight and stakes are high.
